About Counselling

Counselling will provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about your issues and concerns. As your counsellor, I will help you explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours so you can develop a better understanding of yourself and of others.

I will not give you my opinions or advice, and I cannot prescribe you medication. But I will help you to find your own solutions – whether that’s making effective changes in your life or finding ways of coping.

What happens in sessions?

Our counselling will take place in planned, regular sessions which will last for 50 minutes.

What we talk about will depend entirely on what you would like help and support with. This could include:

  • Your relationships

  • Your childhood

  • Your feelings, thoughts or behaviour

  • Past and present life events

  • Situations you find difficult

How much will it cost?

I offer a free 30-minute consultation where I will ask you about yourself and why you are seeking counselling at this time. It is important to find a therapist that you feel comfortable with, so this is also a chance for you to get a sense of me and how I work.

Should we decide to continue, each session costs £60.
